Food has proven to be a catalyst for improved health, economic prosperity, environmental stewardship, and community connectedness.
The Simcoe County Food and Agriculture Charter enables individuals, families, local government, businesses, organizations, and community groups to build stronger connections, and express how they will work together to use fresh, locally-produced food to create positive social change by strengthening the local food system and increasing both the demand and supply of delicious and affordable, fresh, local food throughout Simcoe County.
Anyone can carry out the vision and principles outlined in the Charter, below area few examples of what is already occurring in our community.
